     WE-TTNO  ~  Windsor-Essex TTNO Branch

Welcome to the Windsor-Essex Branch of the TTNO, or the WE-TTNO. It is a great group for anyone who has taken at least one Therapeutic Touch® (TT) workshop/level, & would like to meet monthly with other members from a variety of levels/training & experience. We host at two different meeting locations within Essex County - one in Windsor & another in Leamington at the local Hospice sites. When meeting in-person is not viable, we also have the ability to do it online via Zoom. Through our branch you can attend monthly meetings to network & socialize, to take additional education, receive a Therapeutic Touch session & give one, to volunteer to provide sessions to various groups / locations in Windsor-Essex County, to be mentored to become a Recognized Practitioner, & more!

TTNO Branches help support the Therapeutic Touch® Network of Ontario, through monthly meetings & activities, such as providing practice sessions each month, which are essential for both beginning students & on-going practitioners. Good support & an opportunity to give & receive sessions are the most common factors in a person's decision to continue studying or practicing Therapeutic Touch®. A branch is a great place to share good & challenging experiences, as well a place to find like minded persons.

Benefits to being a Member of our WE-TTNO Branch include:

Our Provincial Organization

An Introduction to the

Therapeutic Touch® Network of Ontario

The TTNO was incorporated in 1994 as a non-profit organization. It provides a Referral Service that matches clients with Recognized Practitioners (RP). Recognized Teachers (RT) provide workshops for education in Therapeutic Touch in many cities throughout Ontario. Funds are raised through member fees, fund raising activities, & donations.

Therapeutic Touch® is taught & practiced throughout the world, including at numerous universities & colleges in Canada & the USA. It is accepted in the policies & procedures of an increasing number of healthcare institutions worldwide & as an intervention in many Ontario hospitals, nursing homes, hospices & clinics.
Therapeutic Touch® is a registered trademark in Canada.

What is TT ~ Therapeutic Touch®?

Therapeutic Touch® is a holistic, evidence-based therapy that incorporates the intentional & compassionate use of universal energy to promote balance & well-being. It was developed in 1972 by Dr. Delores Krieger (a PhD nursing professor) & Dora Kunz (a gifted writer & healer) . TT practitioners are educated to modify a person's energy field when disease or illness obstructs or depletes their flow energy. The Therapeutic Touch® session restores order & harmony to the client's field. Based on the belief that the body can heal itself, TT is a method of healing a person to mobilize their own natural healing abilities. Compassion & intention play an integral role in the practitioner's process. TT can be used on it's own, or as an integrative part of a health, wellness, & self-care.

"Healing is a humanisation of energy and Therapeutic Touch®
is a natural human potential. It is not a miracle cure.

The miracle is that Therapeutic Touch can be
done by everyone - including you."
