Community TT Sessions Offered in Windsor-Essex County

Below are some of the current community organizations where our Branch Members offer Therapeutic Touch® sessions.
As a Branch Member you can inquire as to the qualifications
to provide sessions at these various locations.

Life After Fifty (LAF) - Seniors Center 
-Team Leader: Sharron Parrott, RP, RT
-Located at the West Side Location: 635 McEwan Avenue

-For
LAF members only - every Tuesday morning; cost: $5.00 

-Members must book an appointment

The Village of Aspen Lake - Nursing Home

-Team Leader: Joanne Kanaan, RP
-Located in Tecumseh: 9855 McHugh Street

-provided for residents of the home, at no cost at this time

-current team of practitioners are: Joanne K, Daisy M, Flo H, Angie, Adelina B, Renata S, Ed H, Karen A, & Cynthia G.

-Orientation occurred in January 2024

The Hospice of Windsor & Essex County
Residential Palliative Care Homes
-offered at both locations: Windsor & Leamington
-provided free of charge by Practitioners who have completed Therapeutic Touch
® Level 3 or more & are a TTNO member
-Practitioners must complete the Hospice Direct Service Volunteer Training (DSVT) & submit copies of their TT workshop certificates, as well as annual requirements for all Hospice volunteers

-Hospice Contact: Joanne Fletcher at 519-974-7111 for more details. You can shadow another TT Practitioner within the home
-offered to residents & their loved ones, as well as staff 

 

Distance Healing Group

-Group Leader: Renata Soda, RP

-Interested in being part of the team for Distance Healing? This is a group of Branch TT practitioners that will provide daily, or as often as they can, distance TT sessions for persons whose names were submitted to the group leader.

-As a WE-TTNO member you may also submit the name of someone in need of healing (including yourself).

-A monthly list of requests, as well as updates, will be sent out via email to the Distance Healing Group

-Speak to our Branch Leader to learn more, or to be added to the group; they will notify the Renata who will add you to the list. If at anytime you choose to leave the group, just let the leader know.

-Practitioner list is confidential and members only known fully by the leader.

Energy Clinic at the Windsor Location of Hospice
-Therapeutic Touch Hospice volunteers may also provide sessions to persons who contact the Hospice Energy Clinic for sessions (more details to follow)

-Practitioners must complete the Hospice Direct Service Volunteer Training (DSVT) & submit your copies of their TT workshop certificates, as well as complete the annual requirements for all Hospice volunteers

Via TTNO Office

-At the present time we do not have an open clinic where the public can come for a TT session. 

-On your annual renewal form you can check off that you are available for referrals in your area if the TTNO Office is contacted.

-You may also refer individuals to the TTNO Office for a referral of available TTNO practitioners in the province. 

 

​​Therapeutic Touch Awareness Week / TTAW
Annual Event in May - 2025 dates are May 5-11th

-an annual week of activities, including free sessions to various groups, individuals, or organizations by our members
-Members are active in the process from choosing a location, facilitating a group, by giving sessions, or providing a talk or education about Therapeutic Touch
®,  or helping in the planning of the week-the goal is to encourage all Branch members to participate to increase the awareness of Therapeutic Touch®, & to provide a valuable self-care activity for our community

-closer to the date the TTAW tab will be resumed on this website

New Opportunities

-If an organization or group. would like to experience Therapeutic Touch®, or perhaps arrange a talk or information session regarding TT, please contact one of the Branch Leaders    (Windsor or Leamington) to discuss this further (branch links at bottom of web page).

Non-members will find info on our website to serve your needs and curiosity - consider becoming a TT Practitioner by taking a workshop, then becoming a TTNO member.  Consideration will be given for TTNO Ontario members as well.
